Cheshire and Merseyside Cervical Screening Improvement Project
- Champs Public Health Collaborative has commissioned iPLATO to support the Cervical Cancer Screening Programme using their text messaging platform called MyGP Engagement Hub.
- CSAS (Cervical Screening Administration Service) will identify patients who are due their cervical screening and send the patients a letter. Following the letter iPLATO healthcare will send an SMS. Patients who have been identified as eligible will be sent a text message reminder to ask them to book an appointment.
- The SMS project will be an extension to the existing process of sending letters to patients.
Data Processing and Data Sharing Summary
- iPLATO will facilitate the ongoing extraction of client demographic data via the practice clinical system phonebook, for which the data will be minimised as far as possible.
- All data is processed within the HSCN network.
- Only patients who have consented to receive SMS will be contacted.
- iPLATO Healthcare acts as a data processor for this service.
